iNaturalist: Get Exploring!
Welcome back everyone,
Today we will be talking about iNaturalist, the app/website that powers our Driftless Area BioBlitz!
iNaturalist was created in a joint effort by California Academy of Sciences and National Geographic. The app was created to encourage naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts to explore their area and learn about the wildlife they see! The data collected by these naturalists also supports scientists as they are able to access the photos and data collected by naturalists!
iNaturalist is a great tool to not only help the scientific community but also to use for your own educational purposes. You are able to connect with other naturalists and also expert scientists. This can be useful when trying to identify a plant that has you stumped or just for finding more information on a topic of interest. iNaturalist is a great tool to get connected with your community and the wildlife around you.
How to Join:

- Create a free account at www.iNaturalist.Org
- Review the instructions
- Submit your observations
- Go explore!
