Hello everyone! My name is Emma, and I am finishing up my final year of undergrad at UW- La Crosse! I’m majoring in biology and minoring in environmental studies. After I graduate this spring, I will be moving across the state to Waukesha, WI where I will begin my graduate studies as a Physician Assistant. I work part-time as an in-home caregiver in the La Crosse and Onalaska area, I love getting to make connections, and impact our community members’ lives.

I am also in the Wisconsin National Guard and the Army ROTC program at UW La Crosse. I will commission as an officer this spring and eventually be an Army PA!

I’m excited to be part of the Driftless Area BioBlitz team and to learn more about our community throughout this spring. Some of my favorite areas to explore are Myrick marsh, Hixon Forest, and the Great River State Trail! There are always new, exciting areas in the Driftless region and using iNaturalist will be great way to learn more about our area. I am excited to learn more about our ecosystems and beautiful areas that surround us through iNaturalist. I hope you are able to learn some new, interesting things on our blog journey together!

Happy exploring!
